More flyers

Just another day at the office...making more flyers for my good pal Mr. Magers, ever since he learned about my score project it seems like he has neglected being green for the sake of giving me more and more and MORE work. He’s not even my score supervisor but i guess its good he is giving me something to do. I’ve created his Manchester Essex Regional High School Appalachian Mountain Club Trail Work Community Service and Summer Field Hockey Flyers but that wasn’t enough now I have to waste more of my precious creativity on making him a flyer for ironically Earth week. Seriously, Mr. Magers what happened to being green I get to read “Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail” at the bottom of every email I receive from you. ANYWAYS…I’ve been learning a lot about cooperating kindly to my customers and listening to what they want then adding my own artistic twist to it and making sure that the customer is satisfied or else sleeping at night gets incredibly difficult knowing that I have not satisfied a customer 100%. I have had multiple night mares of field hockey sticks chasing me or the green team special forces capturing me and taking me away to a undisclosed location because I have been affiliated to closely to a green team imposter. Lately it has been rough just walking down the street sometimes I just wish I wasn’t so damn creative but what can you do just write ridiculous words on paper somehow relating to your SCORE project…I don’t think so.

Day #1

Today I worked on making Mr.Magers a flyer for his summer field hockey league. He wanted it in portrait form but I decided that it would look better if i had it in landscape form because the image I used of a girl playing field hockey fit much better on the right hand part of the page and didn’t interfere with any of the text I had to incorporate into the flyer. He also gave me the project of making a flyer for the Manchester Essex Regional High School Appalachian Mountain Club, I was thinking of putting a part of a mountain with a rock climber hanging off as some sort of way to grab the attention of anyone who passes the flyer. This flyer will be more of a project because there is over 1 page of text I need to read and slim down to about 3 sentences to fit it on the flyer. It is defiantly doable though. Another project I had was to find and take notes on a graphic design book although it is from 1999 I still think it can lend me some good tips about the actual field of graphic design out in the working world. After flipping through the book “Commercial Art and Graphic Design Careers” I established that it will not be easy to do this job even if you are gifted with the ability to create and design. You need to take your customers desires into account when making them a design.
